Johnny Creek Campground, Northern Cascade Range, Washington   If you are in Washington through camping season, you should go camping. All the good local attractions close at hand and all the outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back many times. So much fun stuff right next door to Johnny Creek Campground; it sure is a splendid campground. This is such a perfect campground. Lots of folks stay at this campground so they can go to Lake Wenatchee State Park. At Johnny Creek Campground during the long summer days highs are in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows through the winter for Johnny Creek Campground tend to be in the 10's. Wenatchee River is a splendid whitewater spot near Johnny Creek Campground, and the friendly people of Ellensburg like to hang out nearby. There's more to do in the vicinity of Johnny Creek Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's not possible to get bored. Have a nice hiking   adventure along the Icicle Trail; Wenatchee National Forest is worth going to. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. If the weather is good here at Johnny Creek Campground, you can go for a hike along the County Line Trail, and the Jolly Mountain Lookout Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. Johnny Creek Campground is a brilliant camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Northern Cascade Range. The high level of precipitation makes Johnny Creek Campground a rather wet place; January is when you get the most snow here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. So many enjoyable things in the Northern Cascade Range, just tremendous. You can run the rapids of Icicle Creek in close proximity to Johnny Creek Campground, and Lake Wenatchee State Park is a wonderful place to go.
