There are so many cool things close to Island Campground, and to be at this campground is always fun. Island Campground is a pleasant camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Northern Cascade Range. At this primitive       campground you can get a lovelier wilderness experience than you would get at a more civilized campground. As if Island Campground wasn't sufficient, you can also go fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, playing golf, and hiking,   so it's just not possible to get bored. Island Campground is a very popular campground among the people in Glenwood. The good local attractions and so many things to do will make you delighted you came. If you enjoy whitewater, there is the Yakama Reservation to Leidl Campground section,       a category III+ whitewater bit on Klickitat River, 21 miles long. On the whole this bit of Klickitat River is an exciting place for whitewater boating. Unsurprisingly, whitewater boating is cool but perilous; check the situation in   advance of a trip. The 15.4-mile-from-beginning-to-end Round The Mountain Trail is a beautiful great outdoors hiking trail in possession of a great 977-foot altitude variation. About two days of difficult hiking on the Round The Mountain Trail is time well consumed.
