This campground is always a bliss. Going for a hike along the Highline Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Through the months of summer here at Island Campground, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the     40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Island Campground. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Trout Lake Creek, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Little White Salmon Trail. If you get bored of Island Campground, you could also stop by close by Shadow Lake; the Little Baldy Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Island Campground sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the snow falls during December, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the neighborhood of Island Campground. People from Glenwood love to come to Island Campground, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Round The Mountain Trail. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more fun things to do here   in the Northern Cascade Range. Everybody close by loves skiing at White Pass; since you're here you can take a hike along the Divide Camp Trail. This camp ground is situated in the lovely Northern Cascade Range. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the exciting stuff you can do is hiking, swimming, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of exciting things to do won’t happen. So many local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back time and again. This is such a lovely campground. Soar down the rapids of Klickitat River in a kayak, and a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a journey to nearby Memaloose State Park. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more cool things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Get dripping wet paddling on White Salmon River, and a spree to Koberg Beach State Park is a fine idea. There are so many fun things close to Island Campground, and it is a fun place for the whole family.
