Good hiking is available along the Boundary Trail, and drift down the rapids of Methow River in a kayak.
Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the exciting stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of amusing stuff to do won’t happen. Not much rain falls here at Gate Creek Campground; through December this area sees the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. The glorious selection of local attractions, and the glorious variety of outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back repeatedly.
Do set aside some time for Black Pine Basin while you're here at Gate Creek Campground, and Pearrygin Lake State Park is a beautiful spot any time of year. Scores of people select Gate Creek Campground when they come to stop at Okanogan National Forest.
