It is exceptionally gorgeous here at this primitive campground, and there aren't scores of amenities at Council Lake Campground because it is a primitive campground. The nice variety of local attractions and so much to do will make you happy you came. Some activities here at Council Lake Campground are swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored.
The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always charming. Scores of folks stay at this campground for the purpose of being close to Gifford
 
    Pinchot National Forest.

Primitive camping is a great way to be next to the outdoors, and of course there are restrooms here. Getting to this primitive campground could be slightly demanding, but it's well worth it. A type II-III, 3-mile-long whitewater run can be found on close by Lewis River - North Fork, the Twin Falls to FR 88 section. For whitewater kayaking or rafting this run of Lewis River - North Fork is an enjoyable place. Of course, whitewater kayaking or rafting is enjoyable but hazardous; check conditions before heading out. Table Mountain Trail around here has a difference in elevation of 2,007 feet. This great outdoors hiking trail is 5.3 miles of pretty hiking in the
 
wilderness. Being an average great outdoors hiking trail, hiking the Table Mountain Trail calls for roughly speaking six hours.
