Nice. Good car-camping family place. (…) Says Derek

As of August 2008, Wynoochee Valley Road (NFD 22) is closed for 13 miles starting at the intersection with Cougar-Smith north to Camp Grisdale every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We got stuck at the intersection for 3? hours on Thursday, August 7, as the road didn't open until 6:30 p.m. Rumor is that the paving work and road closures will continue for the next two years. Says Travis

WHEN YOU TAKE THE HIKE AROUND THE LAKE BE SURE YOU TAKE WATER AND FOOD. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL, BUT 12 MILES
AND 6 HRS. TO COMPLETE. ENJOY !!! Says KEVIN CALLAHAN

Don't forget to take a good little journey to Scatter Creek, and Olympic National Forest is a good location to take a look at on a wonderful day. And that's not everything you can do here in the Olympic Mountains. The
slopes of Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge are so inviting nobody can resist, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Skyline Trail. This campground is a gorgeous place to visit. Do have a look at Wynoochee Lake right next door to Coho Campground, it's a picturesque lake; get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of Satsop River - West Fork. At Coho Campground through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Coho
Campground dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights.
Olympic National Park is one of the destinations close to Coho Campground that are great to go to; there's whitewater on Wynoochee River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. At this campground you will always have a great time. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the vicinity of Coho Campground. You beyond doubt must stop by Schafer State Park if you're here at Coho Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Creek.
A large amount of precipitation falls at Coho Campground; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is July. Just can't get enough of the Olympic Mountains.
