I helped build the trail around the lake when I worked for the youth conservation corps one summer. Beautiful area and a great hike with diverse terrain. Says Donald Horton

Coho Campground opens from May to October. It is located at an elevation of 900 feet on Wynoochee Lake inside the beautiful Olympic National Forest. At Coho Campground there are 56 campsites (with 1 group site that can accommodate

12 people). There are no hook ups, but an RV dump station is available near the campground. Facilities here include drinking water and 4 flush toilets. While staying here visitors can enjoy lake and pond fishing, picnicking, swimming
as well as hiking. Please keep in mind there is no commercial services available nearby the lake or the campground.

Nice. Good car-camping family place. () Says Derek

As of August 2008, Wynoochee Valley Road (NFD 22) is closed for 13 miles starting at the intersection with Cougar-Smith north to Camp Grisdale every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We got stuck at the intersection for 3? hours on Thursday, August 7, as the road didn't open

until 6:30 p.m. Rumor is that the paving work and road closures will continue for the next two years. Says Travis

WHEN YOU TAKE THE HIKE AROUND THE LAKE BE SURE YOU TAKE WATER AND FOOD. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL, BUT 12 MILES AND 6
HRS. TO COMPLETE. ENJOY !!! Says KEVIN CALLAHAN

Amenities and facilities are few in primitive campgrounds like this one; getting to this primitive campground can be slightly hard, but it's well worth it. This section of Washington has a good deal of outdoors activities offered. Hey, you've been indoors for too long, time to go camping, and Coho Campground in Washington is a good location to go.
