Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. A good view of delightful Block Mountain is available from Blackpine Lake Campground, and there's whitewater on Twisp River for all you adrenaline people. This campground is so great. The cheerful folks of Carlton like to hang out close by, and hey, Black Pine Creek is a good local stream.
On a brilliant day at Blackpine Lake Campground you can take a hike along the Devils Backbone Trailbike Loop Trail; a good spot for whitewater paddling is Chewuch River. A great location like Pearrygin Lake State Park in the vicinity of Blackpine Lake Campground is too great to leave out; get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Methow River.
Summer at Blackpine Lake Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Blackpine Lake Campground temperatures plunge to the 10's.
