Ballard Campground gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is July. Take a hike on the West Fork Methow Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Lost River. All through the long summer days highs here at Ballard Campground reach the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come
with lows in the 20's to Ballard Campground. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Ballard Campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Monument Creek Trail, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Methow River. If you love the outdoors you'll
love it here in the Northern Cascade Range. Have a great hiking adventure along the Boundary Trail; the summit of Driveway Butte can be seen from Ballard Campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ballard Campground; Driveway Butte Trail is a great local trail, and close by you discover Vista Point.
