There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Chewuch River, and the summit of Wellie Peak can be seen from Andrews Creek Campground.
All through the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Andrews Creek Campground; the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Andrews Creek Campground temperatures dip to the 10's. Andrews Creek Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among the people of Mazama.
