Going for a hike on the Lillian River Trail is always a good adventure, and you can hit the slopes at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge around here. This campground is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Little River Trail; float down the rapids of Elwha River in a kayak. You really can't spend all your time indoors; you need to get out of the house from time to time, and Altair Campgrounds, Washington is a glorious location for getting out. Some people stay here for the purpose of being close to Olympic National Park.
