Vermont is a delightful location for campers. The 57 trails at Ascutney are all tremendous; the drop is 1,800 feet at this ski resort. Ascutney has 8 feet of great snow every season and has 6 good ski lifts to bring all the skiers up the mountain. Ascutney is loved by skiers; it has 70% blue and green trails and 30% hard trails. A total of 150
 
    acres of ski terrain in all. The Whitesville to Perkinsville section has a length of 7.5 miles; you find this bit of whitewater on Black River. It's a type II bit. The Whitesville to Perkinsville section of Black River is recommended
  for novice raft paddlers. Always check conditions in advance of a trip whitewater paddling since whitewater paddling is a risky thing to do. Ascutney is a great local ski area; hiking is a popular thing to do around The Farm Campground; Slot Trail is a fine local trail. Why not visit close by Seavers Brook while you're here at The Farm Campground. The Farm Campground is right by the Mount Peg Foot and Bridal Trails, and The Farm Campground is not far at all from Springfield.
