A total of 150       acres of ski terrain in all. The Whitesville to Perkinsville section has a length of 7.5 miles; you find this bit of whitewater on Black River. It's a type II bit. The Whitesville to Perkinsville section of Black River is recommended   for novice raft paddlers. Always check conditions in advance of a trip whitewater paddling since whitewater paddling is a risky thing to do. Ascutney is a great local ski area; hiking is a popular thing to do around The Farm Campground; Slot Trail is a fine local trail. Why not visit close by Seavers Brook while you're here at The Farm Campground.
