Go for a hike on the Stevenson Brook Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Little River - West Branch. This is a magnificent campground. A golf course in the neighborhood of Stowe Hollow Campground is Blush Hill Country Club; hiking is a popular thing to do around Stowe Hollow Campground; Sawmill Loop Trail is a great local trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Green Mountains has to offer. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Stowe, and do stop at West Branch Little River if you're here at Stowe Hollow Campground. You'll meet a lot of people from Waterbury Center here, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Hedgehop Hill Loop Trail. This campground has so many cool things to offer. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Stowe Hollow Campground is next to Waterbury Center State Park which is a charming spot; you can run the rapids of Mad River. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Green Mountains. The summit of Taber Hill can be seen from Stowe Hollow Campground, and magnificent hiking is available along the Haselton Trail. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. As if Stowe Hollow Campground wasn't enough, you can also go swimming, hiking, fishing, playing golf, and whitewater paddling, so almost certainly you want to stay a bit.
