It is especially delightful here at this primitive campground; primitive campgrounds such as this one can be hard to get to, but they are stunning. Stillwater Campground is extremely popular with the folks from Groton. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the exciting stuff you can do is swimming, hiking, playing | |
golf, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so running out of amusing stuff to do won’t happen. At Stillwater Campground exciting stuff to do is plentiful, and when you're here you're always having a pleasant time. Ok, you've been

|
Primitive camping is a good way to be close to the great outdoors. On Wells River you come upon the close by Groton to Wells River Village portion. This is a type I-III, 9.5-mile-long bit of whitewater. This portion of Wells River
| |
| |
is proposed for raft paddlers of medium knowledge. Don't go kayak paddling ahead of first checking the latest conditions; it's risky business. If the weather is good here at Stillwater Campground, you can go for a hike along the Little Deer Trail; a great beach close by is Boulder Beach. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. Here at Stillwater Campground there are plenty of people from Groton, and there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Big Deer Mountain Trail.
