Chargo Campground, Green Mountains, Vermont   Chargo Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among the people of Derby. Clyde River is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Chargo Campground, and going for a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is always a glorious adventure. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Chargo Campground. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Chargo Campground. You need to get out of the house, and Chargo Campground is a great local campground if you happen to be in Vermont. People from Derby love to come to Chargo Campground, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Pisgah Trail.
