  This part of Vermont is always a pleasure to stop at through camping season. North Hero State Park is a striking spot any time of year, and there's delightful hiking along the Southern Tip Trail.
There's a heap of outdoors recreation available nearby such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's totally impossible to get bored. Good hiking is available along the Island Farm Nature Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River. Everybody ought to go for a weekend of camping every now and then, and Campbells Bay Campground in Vermont is a
    magnificent pick.
Many folks stay at Campbells Bay Campground so they can go to North Hero State Park. At this campground you will always have a good time. Get wet paddling on Browns River; you can go for a hike on the North Shore Trail.
There's no way to run out of exciting
things to do near Campbells Bay Campground; a lot of people love to come here to get away. Woods Island State Park is a splendid location to go to, and you are near Maquam Bay if you're here. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great globe it would be. First Creek is a lovely stream that is worth taking a look at; there are some great whitewater spots on Mill Brook. Campbells Bay Campground is an old favorite with the folks from Swanton. This campground is so good. The slopes of Cochran Ski Center are so inviting noone can resist.
At Campbells Bay Campground during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Campbells Bay Campground overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's.
