Big Deer Campground, Green Mountains, Vermont   Everybody nearby loves skiing at Lyndon Outing Club; float down the rapids of Wells River in a kayak. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Little Deer Trail, and Silver Ledge is an attention-grabbing spot to visit while at Big Deer Campground. Big Deer Campground gets a typical amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. All year is a good time in the Green Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the exciting stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, fishing, hiking, and swimming, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Groton State Forest Nature   Trail, and Boulder Beach is a beach nearby that you can have a look at. A lot of folks stay here to be near Boulder Beach State Park. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Big Deer Campground. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Big Deer Campground temperatures descend to the 0's. This camp ground is one of the delightful locations to camp here in the Green Mountains. All the perfect local attractions close by and so many things to do will definitely have you coming back persistently. Big Deer Campground is located in a neighborhood with scores of fun stuff to do, and loads of folks like to come here to get away. So much cool stuff to do here in the Green Mountains, too great to be true. Going for a hike along the Big Deer Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Beaver Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. A campground like this is too wonderful to miss. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Waits River; let's not forget Osmore Branch which is a stream that you may run into during your stay. This is a wonderful campground. Take a hike on the Coldwater Brook Trail, and if the weather is wonderful, you get a nice panorama of Little Deer Mountain from Big Deer Campground. Outdoors folks generally like this sector of Vermont. Man, is there a load of fun stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Paddling on Joe's Brook River is so much fun; places like Ricker Pond State Park are pleasant to explore.
