Float down the rapids of Waits River in a kayak, and the Coldwater Brook Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. An average amount of rain falls at Big Deer Campground; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. Near Big Deer Campground you locate the Little Deer Trail which is a great hiking trail, and it's a nice idea to go to Osmore Branch.
There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Green Mountains. Big Deer Campground is loved by the people of Groton.
