The Pines Campground, Virginia

  I recently camped at the Pines this past weekend. It was great. The campground is very secluded and well taken care of. It's also very easy to get to from New Castle. I would recommend this campground to anyone. Says Mike Smith

Lots of folks camp here in order to be in the neighborhood of Jefferson National Forest. Whitewater paddling is nice on Johns Creek; hiking along the Cove Trail is splendid fun.
Some nearby water includes Lipes Branch, and Jefferson National Forest is a glorious location to go to on a beautiful day. The Pines Campground
    is a very popular campground with folks from New Castle. The magnificent selection of local attractions, and such a magnificent variety of outdoors recreation are fine reasons to come.
But wait, there's more to do near The Pines Campground. Going for a hike along the North
Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Barbours Creek is a delightful whitewater spot close by. If you are in Virginia throughout camping season, you should go camping.
In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Potts Creek; if you haven’t been to Booker T Washington National Monument, you have to schedule some time for it if you're here. This campground is so wonderful. While you're here at The Pines Campground you can take a hike along the Brushy Mountain Trail, and you positively
 
ought to explore Moncove Lake State Park while you're here.
Alright, time to go camping, or what do you think? The Pines Campground, Virginia is a nice place for getting out. The Pines Campground is situated in a neighborhood with loads of exciting things to do, and you always have a nice time when you're here. Some activities here at The Pines Campground are hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of exciting things to do won’t happen.
For the period of the warm months highs here at The Pines Campground reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at The Pines Campground through the wintertime frequently drop into the 20's. Here at The Pines Campground you'll most likely meet some people from New Castle, and The Pines Campground is right by the Fenwick Nature Trail. A campground like this is too wonderful to miss. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby The Homestead, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Potts Arm Trail.
The Pines Campground gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February.
