This is really a delightful campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Balcony Falls Trail; when you're here it's always fun to check out Douthat State Park. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Float down the rapids of Staton's Creek in a kayak; great hiking is available along the Tolley Gap Trail. We should all go for a weekend of camping once in a while; Shady Mountain Campground, Virginia is a glorious location for getting out. Paddling on Hay's Creek is so much fun, and if you feel like a little side trip, try Indian Gap.
