McClintic Point Primitive Campground, Virginia   Great spot to settle into for a while. My little family camps there every year in june. Alot to do near the camp site. The best site is right on the lake, walk 15 feet to fish your heart out. Lots to do with the children.... Beautyful CLEAN swimming area and play ground just up the main road and showers available to clean them up at the end of the day. The best part about this site you can get the ''away from it all'' and still have access to a store, pay phone, and verry limited cell phone? service... enjoy!!? Going for a hike along the Indian Fort Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and some of the water nearby flows, like Back Creek. At this campground you will always have a tremendous time. Hiking along the Coles Mountain Fire Trail is brilliant fun, and you can run the rapids of Jackson River. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at McClintic Point Primitive Campground. The Sweet Acorn Trail offers hiking at its best, and you obtain a perfect view of Coles Mountain from here. Lower Cascades Golf Club is a tremendous golf course close by, and do stop by Lake Moomaw, it's a stunning lake. During the summer months   at McClintic Point Primitive Campground temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at McClintic Point Primitive Campground descend into the 10's. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Back Creek - Jackson Tributary, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Hot Springs here. This campground is a beautiful site to have a look at. Wilson Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot right next door to McClintic Point Primitive Campground, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Combs Trail. You completely have to have a thing about McClintic Point Primitive Campground. A glorious place like Watoga State Park in close proximity to McClintic Point Primitive Campground is too good to leave out. The high level of precipitation makes McClintic Point Primitive Campground a reasonably wet spot; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture. Everybody nearby loves skiing at The Homestead; a journey here wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Douthat State Park.
