Kennedy Fields Campgrounds is an old favorite with people of Stuarts Draft. A normal amount of rain falls here at Kennedy Fields Campgrounds; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. Do stop by Maple Flat Ponds right next door to Kennedy Fields Campgrounds, it's a scenic lake, and get dripping wet paddling on Back Creek - South River Tributary. There are so many entertaining things in the neighborhood of Kennedy Fields Campgrounds; what a good spot for camping it is. This campground is so perfect. Going for a hike along the Kennedy Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you come at the right time of year, Tye River - North Fork offers some perfect whitewater.
