High Point is clearly visible from Hurricane Campground; as expected, everybody loves Grayson Highlands State Park. Hurricane Campground is a top choice with people from Troutdale.

    here than Hurricane Campground, for example Hungry Mother Lake. The glorious selection of local attractions, and the close by outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back again and again. There are perfect places to discover along the Hurricane Creek Trail, and you might
also want to pay a visit to Slabtown Hollow since you're here at Hurricane Campground.
Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more fun things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hurricane Creek is in the vicinity of Hurricane Campground and is always a bliss to go to, and Hungry Mother State Park is worth taking a look at. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Hickory Ridge Trail.

There's lots of outdoors recreation available nearby such as fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's totally impossible to get bored.
Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Hurricane Campground. Don't leave Hurricane Campground without first going for a hike along the Comers Creek Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Wilson Creek. This camp ground is one of the glorious locations to camp here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Hurricane Campground gets a large amount of water; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is November. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Hurricane Campground with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hurricane Campground. You've been indoors for too long, you've got to get out of the house; Hurricane Campground in Virginia is the outdoors at its most excellent.
