Craig Creek Campground, Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia   Craig Creek Campground is an old favorite with folks from Fincastle. There are good sites to discover along the Cove Trail, and Barbours Creek is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. Hey, the time is here for a camping trip, don't you agree? What would winter be without some skiing at The Homestead; obviously Schoolhouse Branch flows through this neighborhood. Good hiking is available along     the Potts Arm Trail, and there's whitewater on Roaring Run for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This is such a good campground. Douthat State Park is worth a visit if you're at Craig Creek Campground, and don't leave Craig Creek Campground without first going for a hike along the Curry Creek Trail. There's so much to do right next door to Craig Creek Campground; it is a very nice campground. The delightful local attractions and the delightful variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. This camp ground is situated in the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains. Virginia has such a vast number of things to offer nature lovers. And that's not all the things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Near Craig Creek Campground you stumble on the Fenwick Nature Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and folks from   Fincastle love to come here. A typical amount of rain falls here at Craig Creek Campground; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is usually the driest month. There's such a great deal of things to do at Craig Creek Campground including whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Everybody loves Jefferson National Forest, and Booker T Washington National Monument is a great local destination. This campground is so good. Going for a hike on the North Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure, and you can run the rapids of Catawba Creek. Through the days of summer highs here at Craig Creek Campground get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Craig Creek Campground descend into the 20's. Several folks stay at this campground during their tour to Jefferson National Forest.
