This segment of Uinta River is well suited for kayak paddlers who   have been paddling for a bit but who are not yet ready for the really risky rapids. Check conditions before you go on the whitewater, or else it's not safe. There's perfect hiking along the Shale Dugway, and Starvation State Park is worth stopping at. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is abundant here in the Uinta Mountains.
