| Eagle Basin Trail offers hiking at its best, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Green River. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Uinta Mountains. There's perfect hiking along the Uinta Highline Trail, and the top of Taylor Mountain is easily distinguished from Oaks Park Campground. If you're here at Oaks Park Campground, you could have a look at Anderson Creek, and sites like Government Park are fine to visit. Hiking along the Little Hole Trail is nice fun, and places like Steinaker State Park are magnificent to stop at. Some folks stay at Oaks Park Campground so they can go to Steinaker State Park. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always charming. For the period of the days of summer
at Oaks Park Campground highs are regularly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows at Oaks Park Campground through the wintertime usually descend into the 10's. It is very dry here at Oaks Park Campground ordinarily; most of the rain falls throughout May, and the driest of the months is January.
