You can take a little trip to Tibble Fork Dam if you're here at Martin Campground; going for a hike on the Mount Timpanogos Trail is always a good adventure. Martin Campground is usually a pretty dried out place; most of the rain falls all through April, and July is when it's the driest. Martin Campground is in the neighborhood     of Wasatch Mountain State Park which is a lovely spot, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Provo River. The surroundings of this campground have so many things to offer. Tibble Fork is next to Martin Campground and is always a pleasure to explore; Silver Lake Flat is a scenic site any time of year. At Martin Campground exciting stuff to do is abundant; campgrounds like these are perfect. Camping in Utah is such a fun activity. Some activities here at Martin Campground are swimming, hiking, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so running out of entertaining stuff to do won’t happen. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Martin Campground; The Sheep Trail is a great local trail; there are plenty of people from American Fork here. Go for a hike on the Indian Trail, and get covered with water paddling on Big Cottonwood Creek. Good hiking is available along the Lake Desolation Trail, and do pay a visit to Timpanogos Cave National Monument while you're here at Martin Campground. All the magnificent local attractions close at hand and all the outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back repeatedly. Deer Creek State Park is a great site to stretch your legs a bit; you'll locate a charming lake called Tibble Fork Reservoir. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Wasatch Range. Very delightful scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Snowbird, and drift down the rapids of Little Cottonwood Creek in a kayak. A lot of folks stay here when going to Timpanogos Cave National Monument. Throughout the days of summer at Martin Campground temperatures are mostly in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while Martin Campground night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Man, is there a lot of entertaining stuff to do near Martin Campground. South Fork American Fork Canyon is a nice location to stop by near Martin Campground, and California National Historic Trail is a great national park.
