The surroundings of this campground have such a large number of things to offer. There's wonderful hiking along the Indian Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Fremont River offers some glorious whitewater. Not much precipitation falls here at Lower Bown Campground; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture. | Stair Trail offers hiking at its best; if you haven’t been to Capitol Reef National Park, you have to schedule some time for it if you're here. A visit to Utah is not complete without some camping. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, you've gotta get out; Lower Bown Campground in Utah is a great choice. Lower Bown Campground is right by the Blind Trail, and don't leave without visiting Escalante State Park. This campground is so magnificent. Lower Bowns Dam is worth a visit while you're here. There's such a great deal of things to do next to Lower Bown Campground; it really is a great campground. This place, Lower Bown Campground, it absolutely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff.
The summit of Aspen Point can be observed from Lower Bown Campground, and a trip to Natural Bridges National Monument is recommended. Several folks camp here in order to be close to Capitol Reef National Park. During the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at
Lower Bown Campground. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lower Bown Campground.
