Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cottonwood Creek, and a glorious vista of beautiful Petty Peak is available.
You unquestionably should visit Manti-LaSal National Forest if you're here at Ferron Campground, and do take a hike on the Reeder Trail. There's heaps of outdoors recreation available close at hand such as fishing, whitewater paddling, hiking, and swimming, so possibly you want |
to stay a while. There are so many entertaining things to do right next door to Ferron Campground, and if you're looking for a splendid place to go camping for a couple of days, this is a good selection.
This is such a great campground. Ferron Dam is worth a visit since you're
| here, and the Dairy Trail offers hiking at its best. A visit to Utah is not complete without some camping. High temperatures at Ferron Campground during the days of summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Ferron Campground dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.

This is such a pretty campground. Going for a hike along the Dry Wash Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you're here, do take a visit to Harmonica Point. At Ferron Campground you don’t see much rainfall; the wettest
month of the year is frequently March, that's the one that rains the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.
There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Ferron Campground. If you get bored of Ferron Campground, you could also explore nearby Duck Fork Reservoir;
if you come at the right time of year, Ferron Creek offers some delightful whitewater. Have a great hiking adventure along the Blue Trail, and Palisade State Park is both pleasant and striking.
