 question to get bored in Utah if you adore the outdoors. On Escalante River you bump into the close by Calf Creek to Coyote Gulch portion. This is a type I-II, 70-mile-long run of whitewater. This portion of Escalante River is suggested for beginner whitewater boaters. For your security you should always check conditions in advance of going whitewater rafting or kayaking. There are good sites to look at along the Indian Trail; why not take a little tour to Calf Creek while you're here. Haymaker Bench is an interesting site to visit while at Calf Creek Campground. Going for a hike on the Hole-in-the-Rock Road is always a wonderful adventure. A tour to Capitol Reef National Park is recommended,  
and if you're addicted to cool geologic marks try Bowington Bench. Dixie National Forest is worth checking out if you're at Calf Creek Campground, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Boulder Mail Trail.
