This portion of Escalante River is suggested for beginner whitewater boaters. For your security you should always check conditions in advance of going whitewater rafting or kayaking. There are good sites to look at along the Indian Trail; why not take a little tour to Calf Creek while you're here. Haymaker Bench is an interesting site to visit while at Calf Creek Campground.
