There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Blacks Fork - East Fork; don't leave without going to Ashley National Forest. Around Bear River Campground you don’t get a lot of precipitation; September is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when it's the driest. This campground is a picturesque place to pop by.

This is such a fun place for a campground. Good hiking is available along the Lofty Lake Trail; if you're here, you could also go to
scenic Lily Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Blacks Fork - West Fork offers some nice whitewater, and the Notch Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best. A quick tour to East Fork Bear River near Bear River Campground is a perfect idea, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bear River Campground; Highline Trail is a magnificent local trail.
