| | A campground like this is too glorious to miss. Jewel Cave National Monument is a splendid national park; Bear Butte State Park is worth checking out. So many local attractions and such a nice variety of outdoors recreation are tremendous reasons to come.
Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more fun things to do here in the Black Hills. Hiking along the Horse Thief Lake Trail is pleasant fun, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Datton Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Flume Trail, |
and a journey to Mount Rushmore National Memorial is worthwhile. Hit the slopes at Terry Peak around here, and there's nice hiking along the Silver Arrow Trail.
If you are in South Dakota during camping season, you ought to go camping. Everybody should go for a weekend of camping
| sometimes, and Dalton Campground is a tremendous local campground if you happen to be in South Dakota. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Dalton Campground temperatures are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Dalton Campground dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.

There's so much stuff to do near Dalton Campground, and it's one of those sites where everything
is tremendous. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. The Rapid Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; Waite Gulch is close by, and is a magnificent place.
This camp ground is one of the pleasant places to camp here in the Black Hills. A lot of people opt for this
campground to be near Bear Butte State Park.
Dalton Campground gets a common amount of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is January. Dalton Campground is a top choice with residents of Nemo. And if that's not enough there's heaps
more amusing stuff to do in the Black Hills. Spearfish Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and do take a hike on the Willow Creek Trail.
