There are great places to look at along the Bartram Trail; paddling on Chauga River is so much fun. Church Campground is a quite wet place frequently with lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most; October on the other hand is the driest. During the summer at Church Campground temperatures are typically in the 80's, and the night     is a bit cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Church Campground are in the 20's. Going for a hike on the Three Forks Trail is always a delightful adventure, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Scaly Mountain is relatively near. Whitewater paddling is good on Cedar Creek, and while you're here, you could also go to lovely Reids Pond. Near Church Campground you discover the Burrells Ford Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chauga River. This is such a magnificent campground. The Winding Stairs Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Church Campground, and Oconee State Park is a great spot to go. Any time is a nice time at Church Campground   if you like the outdoors. Don't forget to take a magnificent little journey to White Fork, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Chattooga Trail. This is such a beautiful campground. Don't leave Church Campground without visiting Lake Hartwell State Park; there are plenty of folks from Walhalla here.
