If you come at the right time of year, Grande Ronde River offers some pleasant   whitewater; the skiing at Anthony Lakes is magnificent. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Time and a Half Campground during the wintertime generally dip into the 20's. Time and a Half Campground is pretty dried up commonly; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
