    to explore. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Rock Creek, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Freezeout Trail. For the period of the summer at Shadow Falls Campground highs are usually in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Shadow Falls Campground temperatures fall to the 30's.
