  Salmon River Campground is a campground that is fantastically prized by folks from Government Camp. If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's whitewater paddling, swimming, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. Get yourself into a kayak and hit White River, and you can go for a hike on the Paradise Park Trail. Lots of folks camp here when going to Mount Hood National Forest.
Salmon River Campground gets a good deal of water; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. Life's too short to
    enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Lots of folks from Government Camp come to Salmon River Campground, and Mount Hood National Forest is worth visiting.

Salmon River
Campground is located in the Central Cascade Range. There is so much enjoyable stuff in close proximity to Salmon River Campground, and spending time at this campground is very enjoyable. This campground is so nice. Skiing at Timberline Lodge is one of those things you just have to do; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Timberline Trail.
All year is a splendid time in the Central Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. There are some great whitewater spots on Hood River - Lake Branch; you'll hit upon a pretty lake called Trillium
 
Lake. It's been too long since you went outside, and Salmon River Campground, Oregon is a great site for getting out.
This place is excellent, just check out all the fun things to do close to Salmon River Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Sandy River, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Tom Dick Trail. Buzzard Point is in the neighborhood and always perfect to go to, and going for a hike on the Umbrella Falls Trail is always a pleasant adventure. The great variety of local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back many times.
At Salmon River Campground all through the days of summer highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Salmon River Campground are in the 30's. Don't leave Salmon River Campground without visiting Starvation Creek State Park, and why not visit close by West Fork Salmon River while you're here at Salmon River Campground.
