| here when going to Fields Spring State Park. This is really a delightful campground. Going for a hike on the Cook Creek Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and you can run the rapids of Snake River. It is very dehydrated here at Kirkland Campground generally; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July. The Cottonwood Creek Trail is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Kirkland Campground, and Hells Gate State Park is a wonderful place to go to on a pretty day. Oregon is a good outdoors | |

come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Kirkland Campground. There are great places to discover along the Indian Tom Trail, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Grande Ronde River. The delightful variety of local attractions and the delightful variety of outdoors recreation will make you glad you came.
