Lakes are good; Cougar Reservoir is a lake that's in the vicinity of Echo Campground, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Pyramid Trail. This camp ground is one of the good spots to camp here in the Central Cascade Range. For the period of the summer months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Echo Campground, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
