Good hiking is available along the Jefferson Lake Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Metolius River. Drift Campground is a reasonably wet place typically with a good deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls through December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. It's a tremendous idea to stop by Drift Creek, it's in the neighborhood of Drift Campground. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always pretty. Hoodoo is a pleasant local ski area, and there are some good whitewater spots on Deschutes River. is one of those nearby; you can go for a hike on the Sugar Pine Ridge Trail. A number of people stay here when going to The Cove Palisades State Park. Some of the things you can do here at Drift Campground are fishing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so running out
of amusing things to do won’t happen. Quite a lot of entertaining things to do close to Drift Campground, and if you're trying to locate a fine place to go camping for a couple of days, this is a nice choice. All through the warm months highs here at Drift Campground get into
the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Drift Campground dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. That right there is plenty of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Central
Cascade Range has it all. Near Drift Campground you come across the Reservation Trail which is a perfect hiking trail; Peter Skene Ogden State Park is a great place to have a look at.
