Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Grave Creek, and of course East Fork Rum Creek is a delightful stream that is worth taking a look at. The glorious local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back |
again and again. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. You can run the rapids of Illinois River near Doe Creek Campground, and if you're looking for a tremendous journey, Oregon Caves National Monument is quite near.

Much rain falls at Doe Creek Campground; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Doe Creek Campground is right by the Bear Camp Trail, and a great site close by is Tyee Bar.

Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Coast Ranges. Doe Creek Campground is right next door to Siskiyou National Forest which is a beautiful site; there's glorious hiking along the Coffee Pot Trail. Through the long summer days at Doe Creek Campground
temperatures are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; night lows at Doe Creek Campground through the winter generally fall into the 30's.
But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. The Grayback Trail offers hiking at its best, and a lake close by is Flanagan Slough.
