Bighorn Campground, Central Cascade Range, Oregon
|
| | Have you been to the Bighorn campground site???While this is a beautiful pack-in, primitive site, it doesn't fit with your description. Before camping, take a hike on Nat. Forest Trail 742, without gear. After you've scoped the area, come back and stay. Even on Labor Day Weekend ('06) there were several campsites available in this dispersed camp area. Says Jim-in-Brightwood
Bighorn Campground is a campground that is incredibly esteemed by the people in Welches. Oregon is a perfect outdoors state. This campground has so much entertaining stuff to |
offer. Bighorn Campground is not the only place close by, Henry Creek Reservoir is a close by lake; stopping by John B. Yeon State Park is a delightful thing to do. Bighorn Campground is a rather wet place generally with a lot of rain; December is the wettest month with most
| rain, and the driest of the months is July. Alright, it's been too long since you went outside, time's here for camping, and Bighorn Campground is a perfect local campground if you happen to be in Oregon. So much fun stuff next to Bighorn Campground, and it is a very perfect campground. If you come to this campground, you will have a wonderful time for sure. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, and get soaked paddling on Zigzag River. Summertime highs at Bighorn Campground commonly tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are | |
|
ordinarily in the 50's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 40's while Bighorn Campground overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Getting to Bighorn Creek from
Bighorn Campground is easy, and at Bighorn Campground you always meet someone from Welches. The tremendous pick of local attractions, and the tremendous variety of outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came. So much cool stuff in the Central Cascade Range, just impressive.
A splendid place like Mount Hood National Forest right next door to Bighorn Campground is too splendid to leave out, and don't leave Bighorn Campground without first going for a hike along the Hambone Trail. The West Zigzag Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and there's
nice hiking along the Cool Creek Trail. Yeah, come here to Bighorn Campground for a nice time. Soar down the rapids of Sandy River in a kayak, and Bighorn Campground is right by the Still Creek Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some nice whitewater,
and perfect hiking is available along the Flag Mountain Trail. Bighorn Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Central Cascade Range. As if Bighorn Campground wasn't sufficient, you can also go fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so it's totally impossible to get bored.
