Illinois River is a good whitewater spot close to Big Windy Creek Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Illinois River Trail. You should certainly pop by Horseshoe Bend since you're here at Big Windy Creek Campground, and there are plenty of people from Grants Pass here at Big Windy Creek Campground.
This camp ground is positioned in the pretty Coast Ranges. This campground is always a joy. A visit to Oregon Caves National Monument is recommended, and you could always explore Black Bar.
Oregon is a good place for campers.
