Highs during the winter are commonly in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Big Twin Lakes Campground. Don't leave Big Twin Lakes Campground without going to Clyde Holliday State Park, and going for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Some people opt for Big Twin Lakes Campground in order to be in close proximity to Clyde Holliday State Park. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Steamboat Creek, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Deception Way. A good place like Joseph H. Stewart State Park in close proximity to Big Twin Lakes Campground is too tremendous to leave out; there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Copeland Creek Trail. The high level of precipitation makes Big Twin Lakes Campground a reasonably wet place; most of the rain falls through November; July is the month with the least moisture.
