This is a pretty place with huge boulders in the creek. There is a nice tall, but small waterfall up the old road past the barricade a few hundred feet. But... 1/2 the foliage is poison oak, it is really thick here in the campground, on the trails, everywhere, so beware! Says Steve Thompson (Wed, 8 Jun 2011)

This is a primitive campground which unsurprisingly means that there are not many amenities.
 
    Needless to say there are restrooms here, and getting to a primitive campground such as Bear Creek Campground could be quite hard, but it's well worth it. This campground is one of the magnificent places to camp here in the Coast
 Ranges. You can experience the great outdoors at its finest at primtive campgrounds like these. It is extremely stunning here at this primitive campground.
So many local attractions and such a fine variety of outdoors recreation are pleasant incentives to come. Bear Creek Campground is exceptionally well esteemed by people in Camas Valley.
