If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Blue Mountains. A good place for whitewater paddling close to Bear Canyon Campground is Grande Ronde River, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Slick Ear Trail. A lot of people camp here for the purpose of being in the neighborhood of Umatilla National Forest.
