This camp ground is positioned in the lovely Central Cascade Range. Barlow Campground gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. With such a vast number of things to do in Oregon you'll never get bored. Barlow Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among the people of Government Camp. Take a hike on the East Zigzag Mountain     Trail, and don't leave without visiting Starvation Creek State Park. This is such a fun place for a campground. Mirror Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at; drift down the rapids of Zigzag River in a kayak. At Barlow Campground cool stuff to do is abundant, and it is one of a lot of nice campgrounds in this region. Be careful coming to Barlow Campground, you might not ever want to return home again. Tom Dick and Harry Mountain is clearly visible from Barlow Campground; skiing at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is one of those things you just must do. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Have a great hiking adventure along the Paradise Park Trail; Mount Hood National Forest is worth visiting. A journey to Wind Creek Basin revives the spirit; if you come at the right time of year, Hood River - Lake   Branch offers some great whitewater. This campground is always a diversion. The Wind Creek Trail offers hiking at its best; paddling on Sandy River is so much fun. Summertime highs at Barlow Campground generally tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Barlow Campground through the wintertime generally descend into the 30's. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Barlow Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Barlow Campground is right by the Mirror Lake Trail, and since you're here, you might as well check out Little Zigzag Canyon. The great local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Barlow Campground; Pioneer Bridle Trail is a delightful local trail; lots of people from Government Camp come here. There's more to do close to Barlow Campground other than just hanging out such as swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
