on Kiamichi River is so much fun. The magnificent pick of local attractions, and all the outdoors recreation will unquestionably have you coming back many times. The high level of precipitation makes Winding Star Campground a quite wet location; most of the rain falls all through
May, and January meanwhile is the driest month. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Ouachita Mountains. You get a perfect view of Rough Mountain from Winding Star Campground; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Boktuklo Trail. This campground is so great.
Don't leave Winding Star Campground without popping by Cossatot River State Park, and going for a hike on the Turney Ranch Trail is always a great adventure. Oklahoma is a pleasant outdoors state. Winding Star Campground is to be found in a neighborhood with loads of exciting things to do, and it is a pleasant escape from the ordinary.
