At Winding Star Campground through the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's,
    and overnight lows at Winding Star Campground during the winter regularly sink into the 20's.
Some folks stay here for the purpose of being in the neighborhood of Cedar Lake North Shore. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ouachita Mountains. If you're looking for a beach

The high level of rain makes Winding Star Campground a pretty wet spot; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
