  It's completely out of the question to run out of exciting stuff to do near Horse Thief Spring Campground; it is a very perfect campground. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more amusing things to do in the Ouachita Mountains. You can run the rapids of Big Creek near Horse Thief Spring Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Billy Creek Trail. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. The Turney Ranch Trail offers hiking at its best, and since you're here you will meet lots of
    folks from close by Muse.
There are some great whitewater spots on Kiamichi River, and Horse Thief Spring Campground is in the vicinity of Goldville Divide which is unquestionably worth checking out. A campground like this is too wonderful to miss. Good hiking is available
along the Honobia Trail; a pleasant place like Queen Wilhelmina State Park is too brilliant to leave out. A visit to Oklahoma is not complete without some camping.
Horse Thief Spring Campground is a wet location that gets a lot of rain; May is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The wonderful choice of local attractions, and such a wonderful variety of outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back persistently.

Thief Spring Campground if you're in a beach type of mood, and the top of Snake Mountain is easily distinguished from Horse Thief Spring Campground. As if Horse Thief Spring Campground wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, fishing, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so it's totally impossible to get bored. There's glorious hiking along the Boardstand Trail, and on a splendid day it's a wonderful idea to spend the day at Cedar Lake South Shore.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Don't leave Horse Thief Spring Campground without first going for a hike along the Little Eagle Trail, and there's whitewater on Big Eagle Creek - Eagle Fork for all you adrenaline people. Several people camp here so they can go to Cedar Lake South Shore.
