Whispering Hills Campground, Ohio Custom Search   We just returned from a week of camping, and rate this campground 9.5 out of 10. The staff keep everything well-maintained. There is a large pool that our kids lived in all week. The bathrooms are clean. There is a free 9-hole miniature golf course, frisbee golf course, basketball court, volleyball net, petting zoo, fishing pond, paddle boats, playground, and small game room, so there is plenty for the kids to do. Did I say that everything is clean and well-maintained? There is a small store on-site that surprisingly has a lot of items you may need, and     their prices are reasonable. There are lots of activities close by: Canoeing, horseback riding, amish cooking (we really like the Swiss Chalet in Charm), small town shopping, and much more. We obviously highly recommend it. At Whispering Hills Campground during the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Whispering   Hills Campground temperatures sink to the 10's. Man, is there a lot of cool things to do next to Whispering Hills Campground. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Kokosing River. Golf can be played at Round Lake Golf Club, and Malabar Farm State Park is a magnificent place. A perfect place for whitewater paddling near Whispering Hills Campground is Wakatomica Creek, and if you've had enough of Whispering Hills Campground, Brown Lake is nearby. This is such a pretty campground. There's whitewater on Clear Fork of Mohican for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and places like Mohican State Forest are nice to explore. Whispering Hills Campground is a good place of typical precipitation; most of the rain falls through July while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
