Whispering Hills Campground, Ohio   We just returned from a week of camping, and rate this campground 9.5 out of 10. The staff keep everything well-maintained. There is a large pool that our kids lived in all week. The bathrooms are clean. There is a free 9-hole miniature golf course, frisbee golf course, basketball court, volleyball net, petting zoo, fishing pond, paddle boats, playground, and small game room, so there is plenty for the kids to do. Did I say that everything is clean and well-maintained? There is a small store on-site that surprisingly has a lot of items you may need, and     their prices are reasonable. There are lots of activities close by: Canoeing, horseback riding, amish cooking (we really like the Swiss Chalet in Charm), small town shopping, and much more. We obviously highly recommend it. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Clear Fork, and you can run the rapids of Kokosing River. And that's not all you can do here at Whispering Hills Campground. Shreve Lake is close by, and of course, everyone loves Mohican State Forest. The amount of rain that falls at Whispering Hills Campground is close to the national average; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is January. Coming to this campground is always a tremendous idea. If you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Round Lake Golf Club, and there's whitewater on Clear Fork of Mohican for all you adrenaline junkies. During the summer months at Whispering Hills Campground highs are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Whispering Hills Campground temperatures plunge to the 10's.
