Manhattan Woods Golf Club is a golf course right next door to Kaufman Campground, and obviously, this is a perfect area for people who like lakes, Reed Pond is a lake close at hand. The great variety of local attractions and so much to do will make you happy you came. If time allows, Gateway National Recreation Area is a   national park worth a visit, and Kaufman Campground is right by the Woodtown Trail. Kaufman Campground is a pretty wet place mostly with a lot of rainfall; through the month of July you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Kaufman Campground commonly tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Kaufman Campground. This campground is a beautiful spot to stop at. The snow is pleasant at Sterling Forest, and Tallman Mountain State Park is a tremendous location to pop by. While you're here at Kaufman Campground you can take a hike along the Conklins Crossing, and there's whitewater on Ramapo River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
