| | This camp ground is one of the perfect places to camp here in the San Juan Mountains. All the brilliant local attractions in the vicinity and all the outdoors recreation are perfect causes to come. Camping in New Mexico is such an enjoyable thing to do. This is such a fun place for a campground. Heron Lake State Park is a great site to go if you're at Upper Lagunitas Campground, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Spruce Hole Trail. A tremendous spot for whitewater paddling close to Upper Lagunitas Campground is Rio de los Pinos, |
and a trip to Carson National Forest rejuvenates the soul. Upper Lagunitas Campground beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Good hiking is available along the Notch Trail, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the La Manga Stock Driveway.
| There's such a vast number of things to do in close proximity to Upper Lagunitas Campground, and it is a very brilliant campground. Some activities here at Upper Lagunitas Campground are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so possibly you want to stay for a while. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Rio Brazos; going for a hike on the Red Lake Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan Mountains. San Juan Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rio de los Pinos; why not take a little trip to Escondido Creek while you're here. Upper Lagunitas Campground gets very little precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is May.
