| | fun things to do at Rocky Canyon Campground, so little time. Go for a hike on the Brannon Park Trail, and City of Rocks State Park is a charming place any time of year. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the Black Range has to offer. Going for a hike on the Rocky Canyon Trail is always a great adventure, needless to say you could also stop at Lake Roberts while you're here; it's not far at all. to do that. There's splendid hiking along the Montoya Pasture Trail, and Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is a glorious local destination. Through the summer highs here at Rocky Canyon Campground reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs
through the winter are ordinarily in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Rocky Canyon Campground are in the 10's. Rocky Canyon Campground is pretty dried up usually; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is April. Rocky Canyon Campground
is situated in the Black Range. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gila River, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Silver City.
