Several people camp here in order to be in the vicinity of Manzano Mountains State Park. At this campground you will always have a glorious time. Don't leave Red Canyon Campground without first going for a hike along the Cerro Blanco Trail, and this is a popular place for folks from Albuquerque. So many cool things to do here at Red Canyon Campground, too good to be true. Nearby Canon Sal Si Puedes is a fine site to go if you're at Red Canyon Campground, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Kayser Mill Trail. During the summertime highs here at Red Canyon
| Campground get into the 90's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's while Red Canyon Campground nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Going for a hike on the Crest Trail is always a good adventure, and Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument is a magnificent national park.
